Permanent Makeup — Lips

Lip Blush in Utrecht

A wash of natural colour and a softly corrected lip shape — as if you just put on a tinted balm. Lip blush evens out tone, adds definition, and saves you reapplying lipstick all day.

What is lip blush?

Lip blush is a permanent makeup technique that deposits pigment into the lips to add colour, even out tone, and gently redefine the border. It's not a solid lipstick effect — the result is soft, blended, and translates well in daily life, from no makeup to a full glam look.

It's particularly popular for correcting uneven lip tone, adding the illusion of more volume, or simply giving tired-looking lips a healthy, just-bitten colour without filler.

How the procedure works

01

Consultation & colour match

We choose a shade that complements your natural lip and skin tone and discuss the shape together.

02

Numbing

A topical anaesthetic is applied generously, as lips are sensitive — most of the procedure is done once numbing is in effect.

03

Pigmentation

Pigment is layered gently across the lip, building colour while respecting your natural shape.

04

Aftercare & touch-up

Lips heal lighter at first; a touch-up session 4–6 weeks later locks in the final colour.

Frequently asked questions

Will my lips look unnaturally pink?

No — the goal is a wash of colour close to your natural lip tone, just more even and a little more defined. Shades are chosen specifically for your skin tone.

How long does lip blush last?

Lip blush typically lasts 1–2 years, fading more quickly than brows since lips renew skin faster. A yearly refresh keeps the colour looking fresh.

Is it painful?

Numbing cream is reapplied throughout the session. Most clients find it tolerable — more of a vibrating sensation than sharp pain.

Can I still wear lipstick afterwards?

Yes, lip blush works as a base — you can wear any lipstick or gloss on top, or nothing at all.
